Positioning a dynamic economic zone

After merging from the old Vinh Hao and Vinh Tan communes, Vinh Hao commune possesses a strategic coastal location, rich in potential for industrial development, logistics services and marine economy. With the advantage of being an “energy capital” and an inter-regional transport infrastructure system, Vinh Hao is striving to transform itself, realizing the goals set in the new term, which is to break through to become the industrial - marine service center in the Southeast of the province.

Vinh Hao has a strategic location with a complete transport infrastructure system: National Highway 1A, the intersection connecting the North-South Expressway (Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section), the North-South high-speed railway under construction, and Vinh Tan International Port. This is the foundation for the locality to attract investment in developing the processing, mechanical, and construction materials industries from coal slag, while promoting logistics services. The Binh Thuan Multimodal Transport and Logistics Center has come into operation, directly connected to Vinh Tan International Port, opening up a large space for trade and freight transport.

Currently, Vinh Hao is effectively exploiting the potential of the energy industry with 5 stable solar power plants and 4 efficient thermal power plants. The Vinh Hao 220 kV transformer station and the 220 kV power line have been completed, creating an important premise to welcome investment capital into the next renewable energy projects. Vinh Hao also owns traditional manufacturing industries such as: refined salt processing, seafood processing, mineral water production, ship repair... which play an important role in the economic structure. In particular, after the merger, the expanded commune area has helped to link more closely between industry clusters, increasing added value.

Aiming for comprehensive and sustainable development, Vinh Hao commune focuses on attracting clean industrial projects, applying modern and environmentally friendly technology. Typically, the ash and slag separation line at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant has contributed to waste treatment, while utilizing it as construction materials, minimizing pollution, and creating jobs for local workers.

The trade and service sector is also gradually changing. The highlight of the commune is 142 service businesses, restaurants, and hotels concentrated along National Highway 1A and main roads. The development of the North-South Expressway has changed the appearance of service areas along the route, leading to increased demand for freight transport, accommodation, and culinary services. Vinh Hao is gradually building brands for typical products such as Vinh Hao mineral water, clean salt, and processed seafood through e-commerce channels, OCOP floors, and trade promotion fairs.

The commune has completed all local planning, focused on clearing land for key projects, especially the High-Speed Railway project, and accelerated investment in infrastructure for industrial parks and clusters, creating new momentum for development.

Infrastructure - the key to breakthrough

Secretary of Vinh Hao Commune Party Committee, Mr. Vo Duc Thuan said: In the 2025 - 2030 term, Vinh Hao prioritizes the development of industry - handicrafts, trade - services, tourism and high value-added agriculture. The commune continues to create conditions for industrial development along with environmental protection. Promote the advantages of key economic projects in the area, create favorable conditions for the early completion of industrial park infrastructure investment projects and attract secondary investors.

The locality also aims to develop clean industry, strictly control environmental issues, encourage the use of environmentally friendly construction materials, apply modern technology to reduce emissions, protect natural resources and improve the quality of the living environment. Focus on strongly developing types of transportation services, logistics, industrial park logistics, sea tourism services, hotels, restaurants, marine economy... The planning and renovation of traditional markets, calling for investment in suitable supermarket and commercial center models are also being urgently implemented.

Along with industrial development, Vinh Hao focuses on investing in completing economic and social infrastructure, especially transportation, irrigation, electricity, water, and telecommunications. Speeding up the progress of public works such as sea dykes, schools, and medical stations to meet people's needs.

At the recent 1st Congress of Vinh Hao Commune Delegates, Comrade Tieu Hong Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: The Party Committee of the commune needs to focus on leadership, exploit potentials and advantages, promote the effectiveness of investment projects, infrastructure, especially traffic infrastructure and seaports that have been invested and completed.

With the advantage of increasingly synchronous infrastructure, expanded development space and clear strategic orientation, Vinh Hao is gradually affirming its role as the coastal industrial - service center of the province in the new development stage.
