The Golden Heritage fashion show by designer Le Thanh Hoa recently took place, gathering famous beauties of the Vietnamese entertainment industry.

The most notable person of the night was supermodel Thanh Hang, who took on the role of vedette (the model who closes the fashion show). She appeared in a shimmering, figure-hugging, gold metallic design, with the highlight being the tassels attached to the outfit.

The female model confidently walked the runway with a cold demeanor. Notably, at the end of the runway, Thanh Hang made a unique head-hugging pose to create a highlight.

This moment quickly became a controversial topic, with some viewers praising it as a creative act, while others thought the model was overdoing it and was not in line with the overall spirit of the show.

Not long after the show ended, the video recording Thanh Hang’s performance was posted by the designer but the controversial pose was cut out. Not only that, the video also had comments disabled, raising suspicions that designer Le Thanh Hoa was not satisfied with the model’s unexpected pose.

While other models' performances are posted in full and open to public comment.

Regarding this incident, Dan Tri reporter contacted Thanh Hang and the female model refused to share more. On her personal page, Thanh Hang still posted the full video of the performance.

Amid much speculation, designer Le Thanh Hoa explained that the video posted on TikTok was just a shortened version, and his team is currently editing the full video of the performance to post later.

Regarding turning off comments, the designer confirmed that he did so because he did not want negative comments to affect the model's spirit. Currently, Le Thanh Hoa has reopened the comment mode.

Regarding the opinion that model Thanh Hang's closing pose was not in line with the spirit of the collection, designer Le Thanh Hoa expressed his opinion: "Each model has their own artistic perspective when performing at the end of the show, and Thanh Hang's pose is a surprising twist. Although controversial, I think that spontaneous moment makes fashion interesting, evoking many emotions and multi-dimensional perspectives."

In response to a Dan Tri reporter's question about whether the designer censors each of the vedette's movements, designer Le Thanh Hoa said that he often gives creative space to the models, especially experienced models like Thanh Hang. The movements are guided by the overall spirit, but are not stereotyped so that the performer can "live" with the design and message.

"The fact that Ms. Hang has movements that people consider to be beyond the norm is something Hoa completely understands and respects, because that is also the time when art is no longer on paper but comes to life on the stage," the designer shared.

Sharing about the newly launched collection, designer Le Thanh Hoa said that the Golden Heritage collection includes 70 designs, showing a variety of shapes from mermaid dresses, jumpsuits, A-line dresses, mini dresses...

The collection is inspired by Champa sculpture techniques. The designer skillfully incorporated typical patterns such as the Garuda bird, lotus petals, elephants, etc. into the design, creating a unique combination of modern fashion and traditional culture.

Many designs in the collection feature bold, sexy cut-out details. The design highlights include hand-sewn techniques, hand embroidery, gold plating, and tassel-cutting, creating new materials.

To have a 90-minute show, designer Le Thanh Hoa spent a year researching and learning about Champa culture. After that, he and his team spent more than 5 months creating the collection.

Ma Chau silk is the main material used by Le Thanh Hoa in combination with gold plating techniques and many other processing methods to create new materials.

70 designs selected from over 200 carefully executed drawings.

Participating in the collection show are a series of other models such as: Lan Khue, Minh Tu, Minh Trieu, along with Miss Luong Thuy Linh, Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van, Le Hoang Phuong, along with runners-up Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao, Nguyen Quynh Anh, Vu Thuy Quynh...

Miss Le Hoang Phuong took on the role of first face (model opening the fashion show) appearing in a sparkling outfit combined with a silk veil.

With 23 years of experience walking on domestic and international fashion runways, the female model has still faced many mixed opinions about her professional skills despite continuously taking on the position of closing the show at major shows.
