In the group stage of the AFF Cup 2024, the Vietnamese team will have 2 home matches, playing in Viet Tri (Phu Tho). In the first match, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on December 15, Quang Hai and his teammates will face Indonesia. This is considered the most difficult opponent of the Vietnamese team in Group B. Then, on December 21, the Vietnamese team will meet Myanmar at 8:00 p.m.

On December 1, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced ticket prices for matches with 3 denominations including 100,000 VND, 200,000 VND and 300,000 VND. Tickets are distributed exclusively on the VinID application (now renamed OneU application and only available online). Starting from 9:00 a.m. on December 2, the VFF also began its first online sales.

According to Thanh Nien Newspaper, the interest of fans in the above two matches of the Vietnam team is increasing. Just a few hours after the sale, a large number of spectators have completed their "ticket hunting". The large number of tickets sold shows that the belief in the playing style that coach Kim Sang-sik is building for the Vietnam team is gradually returning.

As one of those who already own tickets to watch the Vietnamese team compete in the AFF Cup 2024, Mr. Ha Van Xa (28 years old, Ia Pech - Iagrai, Gia Lai province) shared: “When I learned that VFF released tickets online, I felt very happy. I have always followed the journey of the Vietnamese team under coach Kim Sang-sik, seeing the players always try and make efforts. Although the Vietnamese team has had unsatisfactory results in recent matches, that is a thing of the past. I believe that with careful preparation, the Vietnamese team will be successful in the AFF Cup 2024”.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Trung (35 years old, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai) expressed: “The Vietnamese team won the AFF Cup 2018, bringing me many emotions. Although the Vietnamese team has changed both the coach and players in the AFF Cup 2024, my feelings will not change. I hope that with the support from home fans, the Vietnamese team will have 2 positive results against Indonesia and Myanmar to pass the group stage. Not only that, I hope the Vietnamese team will be present in the final match and win the championship of the tournament.”

According to the representative of VFF, the first round of online ticket sales will last until 23:59 on December 5. Fans can buy tickets to watch both the match between Vietnam and Indonesia and the match between Vietnam and Myanmar. Meanwhile, in the second round, tickets will be on sale from 00:00 on December 6 to 23:59 on December 10 (fans buy tickets to watch the match between Vietnam and Myanmar, taking place at 20:00 on December 21, 2024).
