The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has issued Plan No. 222/KH-UBND dated September 22, 2023 on developing and implementing the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in Tuyen Quang province for the period 2023-2025. Through review and comparison with regulations, Tuyen Quang province has 2 commune-level administrative units, Hong Lac commune and Van Son commune in Son Duong district, which are subject to rearrangement due to having a natural area of ​​less than 20% and a population size of less than 300% of the prescribed standards.

The propaganda work and organization of collecting opinions from voters and people in administrative units directly related to the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in Tuyen Quang province for the period 2023-2025 ensured effectiveness, compliance with regulations, and achieved a high rate of voter approval; The People's Councils of Hong Lac and Van Son communes, the People's Council of Son Duong district, and the Provincial People's Council held meetings and approved the policy of merging Hong Lac commune and Van Son commune to establish Hong Son commune in Son Duong district, achieving a high rate of consensus.

According to the project, after merging Hong Lac and Van Son communes to establish Hong Son commune, the natural area is 19.35 km2 (reaching 38.7% of the standard); the population is 9,576 people (reaching 191.52% of the standard); the population is 1,741 ethnic minorities (accounting for 18.18% of the total population), the whole commune has 14 villages, the working office is located at the current headquarters of the People's Committee of Hong Lac commune.

Along with that, the plans for arranging and using facilities and staff are focused on ensuring efficiency and streamlining, meeting task requirements, creating the most convenience for people when coming to transact at the new administrative unit headquarters.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and clarified contents related to the implementation of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Tuyen Quang province in the period of 2023-2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan requested relevant departments, branches, units and Son Duong district to accept the opinions of the members of the working group. Along with that, continue to review and supplement data to reports and records to ensure details and completeness; continue to seriously implement the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in the province in accordance with the direction of the Central Government and the province.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant ministries and branches continue to pay attention to and promptly appraise the dossier and project on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Tuyen Quang province in the period of 2023-2025, submit it to the Government and the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration and decision to organize and implement it, ensuring that it meets the requirements and plans set out. Thereby contributing to stabilizing administrative units and promoting economic development in the province.

The arrangement of commune-level administrative units is consistent with the provincial development plan. In particular, Tuyen Quang province has paid attention to propaganda work and solicited opinions from all walks of life to create high consensus in the implementation of the project.

He requested Tuyen Quang province to continue to carry out the following tasks to ensure compliance with the roadmap and regulations. The province needs to conduct a specific review of all data to ensure consistency in the implementation directive documents and submit them to higher levels; supplement more details and completeness on items of facilities, staff at commune and village levels, especially surplus staff to have appropriate arrangements.

At the same time, there should be a plan to use facilities and arrange staff appropriately after the merger to promote work efficiency; pay attention to the issue of naming new communes after the merger to receive high consensus from the people...

Previously, the Central Inter-sectoral Working Group conducted a field survey in Hong Lac and Van Son communes (Son Duong).
