Finnish Literature Week in Vietnam

Finnish Literature Week runs until July 20, with the main event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first Moomin work, a classic series of children's comics and novels created by Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson.

The opening work The Moomins and the Great Flood was released in 1945, opening a magical and poetic world , containing humane messages about family love, maturity and the desire to find a home.

During her career, Tove Jansson wrote 9 Moomin novels, including many famous ones such as Comet in Moominland, Finn Family Moomintroll, Moominvalley in November ...

In Vietnam, Kim Dong Publishing House has introduced the complete set of 9 outstanding works by Tove Jansson through 8 books, with translation by translator Vo Xuan Que and proofreading by Dr. Bui Viet Hoa.

Since The Sorcerer's Hat was first published in 2010, the Moomin series has become a close companion to many generations of young readers.

All activities are free and open to the public.

Finnish Literature Week, co-organized by Kim Dong Publishing House and the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam, is a special occasion for the Vietnamese public, especially children, to access a timeless literary treasure, nurturing a love of reading and profound human values through the magical world of Moomin.
