On the morning of September 18, in Hai Phong City, the 7th Hai Phong Innovation and Startup Festival - Techfest Hai Phong 2023 took place with the theme "Hai Phong - City of Innovation - Accelerate and Shine" organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong. The event took place from September 18 to 21.

The series of activities within Techfest Hai Phong 2023 has the participation of delegates from a number of embassies; Ministry of Science and Technology; representatives of central and local science and technology agencies; universities, research institutes, domestic and foreign enterprises; innovative enterprises; investment funds, investors, startup support organizations, etc.

Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee spoke at the opening ceremony.

Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, said that, along with the whole country, Hai Phong City is accelerating the process of industrialization, modernization and increasingly deep integration into the world economy in the context of the impact of the fourth industrial revolution with intertwined opportunities and challenges.

According to the leaders of Hai Phong City, after 7 years of implementing the plan to develop an innovative startup ecosystem, the startup and innovation activities of Hai Phong City have changed dramatically and achieved many important results.

Delegates exchange at the startup and innovation festival

From 2017 to present, Techfest Hai Phong has had more than 700 innovative products and creative startups participating in the exhibition, welcoming 5,000 domestic and foreign delegates to visit and participate in seminars; organizing 200 investment and business connections, organizing 6 startup competitions attracting a large number of organizations and individuals to participate. Thanks to that, dozens of innovative startups have developed, grown and achieved many successes, dozens of businesses have become science and technology enterprises.

Mr. Cuong affirmed that Techfest Hai Phong 2023 is a meaningful activity to promote innovation and start-up activities in the city.
