The Organizing Committee of the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak in Vietnam said it has applied artificial intelligence (AI) technology to religious activities, creating a unique and new experience for the global Buddhist community. Accordingly, the VedaX AI chatbot is deployed via chat, voice and phone platforms, helping delegates and Buddhists easily connect and receive information about the festival's programs.
Chatbot can answer questions related to activities of worshiping and worshiping the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India and the heart relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc; World peace prayer ceremony in Tay Ninh; information about academic seminars, English and Vietnamese speeches, speakers; cultural activities such as fairs, exhibitions, art programs and opening and closing programs of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival.

Most Venerable Thich Nhat Tu, Permanent Deputy Secretary General of the National Organizing Committee for the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak in Vietnam, said the ceremony will be attended by about 1,200 international delegates and many domestic delegates.
The 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak is not only a religious event but also a cultural and technological conference. Activities including temple ceremonies, seminars, Buddhist cultural exhibitions, special art programs , etc. are all supported by advanced AI systems.
“ This combination will help the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival become an important milestone in the digital transformation of Buddhism, opening a new direction in the use of technology in religious events ,” informed Venerable Thich Nhat Tu.
