(Baoquangngai.vn) - Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung - Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the working delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.

On the morning of April 5, during the working program in Quang Ngai, the working delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) led by Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the VPA offered incense at the Memorial Site of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong in Duc Tan Commune (Mo Duc).

Accompanying the delegation were Colonel Luong Dinh Chung - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 5; Lieutenant Colonel Tran The Phan - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Vo Tan Tai - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command.

Prime Minister Pham Van Dong was born on March 1, 1906, into a Confucian family in Cay Gao hamlet, Thi Pho Nhat village, Duc Tan commune (Mo Duc). Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, young Pham Van Dong was trained to become a staunch proletarian revolutionary soldier, one of the key leaders and predecessors of the Vietnamese revolution.

Prime Minister Pham Van Dong made many great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, with 75 years of continuous revolutionary activities, 41 years as a member of the Party Central Committee, 35 years as a member of the Politburo, 32 years as Prime Minister, and 10 years as an Advisor to the Party Central Committee.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung - Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army expressed his admiration, respect and pride in the revolutionary life of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong; vowed to continue to follow the Prime Minister's example, promote solidarity, join hands and unite, together build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern army; bring the country into a new era of strong, civilized, prosperous and prosperous development, and the people will be increasingly well-off and happy.

The memorial site of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong was built in his hometown in Duc Tan commune (Mo Duc), and was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic in 2006. The memorial site has a total area of ​​over 47,000 square meters, divided into categories: Reception house, cinema room, exhibition room, bookcase...; currently preserving and storing more than 1,529 documents, artifacts, and images related to the Prime Minister's life and career.

This place has become an attractive and meaningful tourist destination, educating and nurturing the revolutionary tradition of the nation and the heroic homeland of Quang Ngai for future generations.
