Chinese carp livestreams beating a girl holding a small child in Ho Chi Minh City

On July 16, the Investigation Police Agency, Ho Chi Minh City Police are detaining Tran Van Trung (born 1985, from An Giang ) to investigate the act of beating a girl holding a small child.

The victim is Ms. TTDT (born in 2000). They are not husband and wife but have only lived together since the end of 2024.

During their time together, Ms. T. often went online to livestream and talk to strangers. This made Trung uncomfortable and he repeatedly reminded and asked Ms. T. not to continue doing this. However, Ms. T. still frequently went online to livestream.

Out of anger, on July 12, "Trung ca xep" used Ms. T's account to livestream and beat her, while Ms. T was holding her child, causing outrage among many people. Meanwhile, the victim's family had time to record the clip and report it to the authorities.

Before that, Trung forced Ms. T to take off all her clothes, then filmed and took pictures, then posted them on social media. The incident took place at a rented room on Bau Bang Street, Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, on the evening of July 12, social media users shared a video longer than 2 minutes, recording the scene of a man repeatedly slapping a woman holding a small child in a rented room and then live-streaming it on the social networking platform TikTok.

In the clip, a woman is holding a small child next to the stairs in a rented room. At this time, a man sits next to her and asks "Are you tired yet?" Then he slaps the woman repeatedly in the face, causing the child to cry out.

The man then turned to the phone and asked viewers, “Can you hear me?” He stood up and continued to slap the woman about four more times in the face before walking towards the phone before ending the livestream.

Upon receiving the news, the Thu Dau Mot ward authorities approached the boarding house where the incident occurred on Bau Bang Street. However, when the authorities arrived, the man in the video had already left. The local authorities provided support and took measures to ensure the safety of the woman and the child.

After receiving the report, Thu Dau Mot Ward Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police to investigate. After a period of persuasion, Trung turned himself in to the police and admitted his actions.
