Accordingly, Tran Yen has focused on registering trademarks and building geographical indications for key products, restructuring the agricultural sector towards improving product quality and value; encouraging organic production in the district. Up to now, it has protected intellectual property for 9 products such as Quy Mong vermicelli, Tran Yen green tea, Tran Yen grapefruit, Hung Thinh tangerine, Minh Quan red-fleshed dragon fruit, Tran Yen dried cinnamon bark, etc., along with the geographical indication "Bat Do Yen Bai bamboo shoots".
In addition, Tran Yen also focuses on processing and traceability. Tran Yen currently has 17 areas/facilities that have achieved quality certification according to VietGAP, domestic and international organic standards. Of which: 6 VietGAP certifications, 3 domestic organic certifications, 1 organic certification for cinnamon. Along with that, to increase the value of agricultural products, Tran Yen has 50 OCOP products with 3-4 stars. Of which, 8 products have 4 stars and 42 products have 3 stars.
In the coming time, Tran Yen district strives to increase the value of 50 existing OCOP products with at least 2 products achieving 5 stars; export 8-10 key agricultural and forestry products to international markets; build an agricultural model combining experiential tourism of mulberry growing - silkworm raising - silk weaving, exploiting indigenous culture, creating unique tourism products; encourage the development of clean, organic, high-tech, smart agriculture, associated with modern preservation, processing and consumption...
It is known that Tran Yen has now formed many large-scale commodity production areas, with close links between farmers - cooperatives - processing and export enterprises, such as: mulberry over 1,000 hectares, cocoon output over 1,600 tons/year; Bat Do bamboo shoots over 5,000 hectares, output over 34,000 tons/year; cinnamon total area 20,000 hectares, of which 12,000 hectares meet organic standards; over 1,000 hectares of fruit trees; over 700 commodity livestock facilities, poultry output for sale nearly 10,000 tons/year.
