The course took place from August 12 to 16 with the participation of 22 students from clubs, sports centers and football centers across the country.
According to the plan, the AFC 1A physical training course includes theoretical and practical topics, focusing on physical requirements in football; physiology of exercises and training; assessment and development of physical training plans; aerobic and anaerobic training methods; speed training, speed endurance; assessment of physical fitness in competition.
Classes are held in the morning, afternoon and evening, combining lecture halls and training grounds, helping students grasp knowledge and apply it immediately to practical training.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Yasumatsu Mikinobu - fitness expert of the Japan Football Federation and AFC, the main instructor of the training course, affirmed that the goal of the course is to improve the physical capacity of players, thereby effectively applying it in competition.
Mr. Yasumatsu Mikinobu said he will share the latest knowledge, considering this a cooperation between people who are dedicated to football instead of a simple "teacher-student" relationship.
Mr. Yasumatsu Mikinobu and his colleague, lecturer Kanno Atsushi, thanked VFF for creating conditions for them to participate in the training course, and committed to conveying as much knowledge and experience in physical training as possible accumulated during their time working at national teams and professional clubs in Japan, with the desire to contribute to the development of Vietnamese football.
For his part, VFF Technical Director Koshida Takeshi emphasized the importance of constantly updating advanced training methods, especially in the field of physical fitness, a factor that used to be a weakness of Japanese players but has now been improved to the level of Europe.
Mr. Koshida Takeshi believes that Vietnamese players can completely achieve this if they persevere and receive proper training.
On behalf of VFF and the course organizing committee, Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien - Head of the Department of Grassroots Football, Training and VFF Member Organizations - thanked the local organizing committee for carefully preparing the facilities for the course, and thanked the AFC lecturers for accepting to teach.
At the same time, VFF affirmed that it always focuses on human resource training to improve the quality of coach training in Vietnam.
Representing the students, former national player Luong Trung Tuan - class president of the course, thanked the Japan Football Federation and VFF for creating conditions for Vietnamese coaches to have the opportunity to attend an intensive training course on physical fitness, one of the very important factors in modern football.
At the same time, commit to studying hard and effectively applying knowledge to training to contribute to improving the performance of the club in particular and Vietnamese football in general.
