On the morning of July 12, leaders of Ha Long City inspected the site clearance work, infrastructure preparation as well as construction progress of a number of projects to prepare for the inauguration and commencement of a number of key projects in the city.

In November 2022, Ha Long City People's Committee issued Decision No. 4042 approving the Project to build a new Ngo Quyen High School in Ha Khanh Ward (about 3km from the old location). Accordingly, Ngo Quyen High School will be newly built on an area of 3.45 hectares. Including the following items: Construction of 2 new 4-storey school buildings (theoretical school building, subject school building); a 4-storey headmaster building; a 1-storey multi-purpose building and auxiliary items such as: Parking lot, yard, gate, fence, guard house, internal traffic road, physical training ground, trees... The total investment is about 150 billion VND from the provincial budget with targeted support for Ha Long City budget.
On September 26, 2023, the project was started and up to this point, the project has basically been completed. Currently, the construction unit is completing the final items of the project (school yard, physical training ground, trees, etc.).

Through checking the actual progress, Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Secretary of Ha Long City Party Committee, said that this is the second school in Ha Long City built according to the Project to invest in 22 high-quality high schools in Quang Ninh, period 2022-2025 and is a project with a signboard to welcome the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress. The investment in the construction of Ngo Quyen High School continues to affirm the consistent viewpoint of the province and the city so that all people can enjoy the fruits of development, pay attention to improving the quality of education and training, a solid foundation to create momentum for sustainable development.
He acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the construction units in completing the project on schedule, meeting the school's expectations, ensuring the project was put into use before the new school year 2024-2025. He requested the city's functional units to closely coordinate with the construction unit and the school's Board of Directors to quickly complete the final items and plan to organize the inauguration and signboard installation of Ngo Quyen High School in July 2024.

In Vung Dang sea encroachment urban area (Yet Kieu ward), after nearly 20 years of construction, many areas have sunk, and every time the sea level rises, some roads are flooded, affecting the lives and activities of many households, causing environmental pollution. From understanding the recommendations of voters and people, Ha Long City has directed Construction Joint Stock Company 507 to have a plan to prevent flooding in residential areas.
In mid-May 2024, Construction Joint Stock Company 507 will renovate 22 roads with a total length of 3km; renovate and repair nearly 24,000m2 of sidewalks; renovate 413 tree planting holes, 272 water collection holes... with a total investment of about 27 billion VND. It is expected that in November 2024, the unit will complete the items. Up to this point, Construction Joint Stock Company 507 is focusing on constructing 3 main roads, and by the end of July 2024, it will complete about 50% of the project progress.

Inspecting the actual construction and renovation of roads, the Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee requested Construction Joint Stock Company 507 to speed up the construction progress and especially need to readjust the renovation and sidewalks in a synchronous and modern direction, not allowing the situation where after the sidewalk is restored, each household pave the sidewalk with different materials, which not only does not ensure urban aesthetics but also lacks sustainability.
He also directed the City People's Committee and departments to coordinate and remove difficulties (if any) during the construction process; review the entire drainage system and sidewalk trees in the project area for dredging, repairing and replacing synchronously.
On the side of the People's Committee of Yet Kieu ward, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the site, and require the construction unit during the project implementation to clear all excess materials and construction waste, clean up the environment, preserve the urban landscape, and ensure traffic safety.

This morning, Ha Long City leaders also inspected the site clearance work, infrastructure, planning and investment procedures of two key projects, which are expected to start construction in July 2024, including: Project to build technical infrastructure for the Provincial General Hospital and high-quality medical and educational facilities in the Nam Cau Trang area (Hong Ha ward and Ha Tu ward); Project to build a new Trong Diem Secondary School (Hong Hai ward). These are two projects and works selected to welcome the City Party Congress.
