Based on a deep understanding of the position, role and importance of political education, the Party Committee, the General Department of Logistics command and Party committees and commanders at all levels have focused on leading, directing and effectively implementing Directive No. 124 and the Project. Accordingly, Party committees at all levels have led and directed agencies and units to promote the innovation of political education programs in a fundamental, systematic, unified, practical, inherited and developed direction; ensuring comprehensiveness and suitability with the cognitive level of each subject; linking political education with training, combat readiness, formalization and discipline training.

Identifying that political study plays an important role in building political mettle and revolutionary ethics for cadres, soldiers and workers, every year, Party committees at all levels in the General Department have organized 3-5 study sessions to thoroughly grasp the Resolutions and Directives of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission and the Party Committee of the General Department of Logistics; organized 5-7 study sessions for officers and study sessions to follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; 4-5 study sessions for professional soldiers; provided 5 training sessions for civil servants, defense workers, and 6 training sessions for new soldiers... The educational contents and programs have been seriously implemented from the General Department to grassroots units according to the prescribed hierarchy with the number of participants reaching 98.5-98.85%, of which cadres and party members reached 99% or more.

Along with that, the form of political teaching also has many flexible and creative innovations. In teaching, there is a close combination between traditional and modern methods, between knowledge transfer and experience exchange, between general education and specific education; individual cases are all given appropriate educational and support measures by the Party Committee and unit commanders. The main focus is on promoting the positivity, proactiveness and creativity of learners. Implementing the Project, from 2013 to present, all levels in the General Department have promoted the application of information technology in organizing political teaching.

Agencies and units regularly maintain the order and quality of the political and current affairs reporting regime; well organize the dissemination and study of "Uncle Ho's teachings on this day in history"; organize the editing, printing and publishing of handbooks, documents and books distributed to units in the General Department and the Logistics units of the entire army for propaganda and education. From 2017 to present, the General Department-level Legal Reporting Team has organized 16 legal propaganda trips to 50 grassroots units in the General Department; invited 45 Central and Military reporters and propagandists to agencies and units to report on current affairs and politics and give talks on topics.

At the conference, delegates enthusiastically discussed and clarified issues related to leadership, direction, and implementation of political education; implementation of political education; methods and effectiveness of innovation in programs and content of compiling documents for political teaching at the unit. The conference also frankly pointed out the existing limitations and shortcomings, identified the causes, drew lessons; proposed and recommended a number of contents; agreed on directions, tasks, and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of political education at the unit in the following years.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Do Van Thien requested that, based on the achieved results, in the coming time, Party committees, Party organizations, political commissars, commanders, and political agencies at all levels continue to lead, direct, and comprehensively innovate political education work, focusing on overcoming weaknesses and weak points; make breakthroughs in innovating content, form, and methods, creating new changes in the quality and effectiveness of political education work. Focus on effectively exploiting digital transformation, applying information technology, and exploiting social networks to support political education work.

Focus on leading, directing, and implementing well the stages and steps of ideological management and public opinion orientation, ensuring a firm grasp of the situation and ideological developments of cadres and soldiers, analyzing, evaluating, and classifying closely to reality, resolving correctly, promptly, and effectively any issues that arise; avoiding ideological surprises, ensuring stability, creating high unity and consensus within the unit.

On this occasion, the Head of the General Department of Logistics awarded certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 7 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 124 and the Project.

Within the framework of the Conference, the General Department of Logistics organized a summary and award ceremony for the 2023 Political Teaching Cadre Competition. At the end of the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 6 candidates with excellent results to compete in the final round with two exam contents: Practical lecture test and situation handling. 100% of the main teaching staff achieved good and excellent results; of which 32/34 comrades (94.1%), 2/34 (5.95%) achieved good results. The Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 12 consolation prizes.
