According to the plan, the project will be constructed in 2 years (May 2022-May 2024) to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory and the 69th anniversary of Hai Phong city liberation. However, due to difficulties in site clearance and the weak ground of the road leading to Quang Yen town (Quang Ninh), subsidence must be treated. Therefore, the project is completed more than 2 months behind schedule. It is expected that Ben Rung bridge will officially open to traffic at the end of July. |
Ben Rung Bridge has an important meaning in connecting regions, clearing traffic routes, shortening the distance between the urban areas of Quang Yen, Uong Bi (Quang Ninh) and Thuy Nguyen (Hai Phong).
Together with the inland waterway and sea routes, it will form a complete transportation system, creating momentum for the development of trade in goods, tourism services and labor supply.
Thereby, contributing to improving the economic and social efficiency of the two most dynamic coastal economic zones in the North, namely Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone (Hai Phong) and Quang Yen Coastal Economic Zone (Quang Ninh).
