Actively organize group C

Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu, on behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation, thanked the Phu Tho Provincial Organizing Committee for their effective coordination in successfully hosting Group B of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.

The General Secretary hopes that the locality will continue to accompany the VFF to prepare well for training and competition conditions, ensuring that it fully meets the standards of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in organizing the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and agreed on a plan to assign specific tasks to each department, from competition organization, security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, health , electricity, food hygiene and safety to logistics for the teams.

The organizing committee also agreed on a plan to issue tickets both online and directly at Viet Tri Stadium, to create favorable conditions for fans to come and cheer.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province Dao Tien Cuong requested that departments coordinate closely to ensure safety, professionalism and compliance with international standards.

Mr. Dao Tien Cuong also suggested promoting propaganda on the media and locally to create a widespread influence, attracting domestic audiences and international tourists. From there, contributing to promoting the image of the homeland - Phu Tho as a safe, friendly and attractive destination.

As planned, Group C will take place at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) from September 3-9 with the participation of 4 teams: U23 Yemen, U23 Singapore, U23 Bangladesh and host U23 Vietnam.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will open the tournament with a match against Bangladesh U23 team at 7pm on September 3, then face Singapore U23 team (7pm on September 6) and Yemen U23 team (7pm on September 9).

The winners of Group C and the four best runners-up from the 11 groups will join hosts Saudi Arabia to qualify for the 2026 AFC U23 Championship .

All matches in Group C - 2026 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers at Viet Tri Stadium will be broadcast exclusively onFPT Play television platform. Detailed information on ticket prices, time and location will be announced by the Organizing Committee in the near future.

Under the close direction of the VFF and the active support from local authorities and related units, Group C - Qualifying Round of the 2026 AFC U23 Championship is expected to take place successfully, creating a strong impression for Vietnamese youth football on the continental arena.

This is not only an opportunity for young Vietnamese players to demonstrate their talents and compete with strong teams, but also an opportunity for Phu Tho to promote its image and attract tourism, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
