“Vietnam's history of formation, struggle and development has always been associated with the values and principles of the United Nations, and is part of the common flow of the international community,” the Prime Minister affirmed.

According to the Prime Minister, the journey of nearly 8 decades of national founding and nearly 40 years of Doi Moi has witnessed strong changes in Vietnam. From a country receiving aid, today, Vietnam has the second largest rice export output in the world. From a country devastated by decades of war, today, Vietnam has made great strides in hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and the implementation of the UN Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals.
