Subjects allowed to clear customs at the Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) border gate include citizens of Vietnam and China (with passports, entry and exit passes, border area entry and exit passes). Customs clearance time is from Monday to Friday every week: Hanoi time zone in the morning from 8:00 to 9:00, afternoon from 15:00 to 16:00; Beijing time zone in the morning from 9:00 to 10:00, afternoon from 16:00 to 17:00.

The two sides of the Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) border gate establish a mechanism for tourist clearance, organize specialized agencies to manage the border gate, assign specific persons in charge and contact persons, and summarize the number of tourists and residents entering and exiting the border gate 20 minutes in advance in the morning and afternoon of the working day. This information is then reported to the other side. When necessary, the two sides can extend the working hours at the border gate. Issues arising in the process of cooperation in travel management will be discussed amicably to resolve. This is to ensure high customs clearance efficiency for tourists and border residents.

Immediately after the announcement ceremony, more than 50 border residents entered Vietnam from China; nearly 20 border residents exited Vietnam to China.
