Currently, the Thieu Hoa Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces has 600 members with 25 commune and village associations that regularly meet and exchange.
In recent years, the Thieu Hoa Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces has connected people far from home, organized activities to visit and encourage members in times of illness and joy; awarded scholarships to Thieu Hoa students; and conducted many meaningful and practical activities towards the homeland.
The Association has mobilized 800 million VND to build houses for poor households; supported the education promotion fund with 60 million VND; supported the construction of traffic roads at the historical revolutionary relic site of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee office during the 1967-1973 period in Thieu Vien commune with 15 million VND.
In particular, the family of Major General Pham Van Hung, Deputy Commander of the Guard, Ministry of Public Security, called on colleagues, relatives and friends to support 350 million VND to build houses for 7 poor households in Thieu Hoa district.
In the warm atmosphere of fellow countrymen, on behalf of the district leaders, comrade Nguyen Van Bien, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, thanked the sentiments and contributions of the Thieu Hoa fellow countrymen's association in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces for their hometown Thieu Hoa in the past time.
He informed the members about the outstanding results in the district's socio-economic development in 2023, and affirmed that the results achieved had the attention and significant contributions of Thieu Hoa's children far from home.
He hopes that the children of Thieu Hoa in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, love for their homeland, strive to work and study, always look towards and contribute to building Thieu Hoa district to be more and more prosperous.

On this occasion, the leaders of Thieu Hoa district awarded certificates of merit to 8 groups and 17 individuals with many achievements in building the Association of Fellow Countrymen and building the homeland.
