Thai Nguyen labor market: Dynamic, professional, effective

The merger of Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces to form the new Thai Nguyen province has opened up many development opportunities for the business community in the province. To ensure that employment and unemployment insurance policies are implemented continuously and without interruption, from the very first day of merging the Centers of the two provinces, the new Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center has quickly stabilized its organization, maintained professional activities, and clearly demonstrated its role as a "fulcrum" connecting supply and demand in the labor market.

In addition, the Center proactively maintains and successfully connects thousands of online job consulting transactions with provincial centers associated with Thai Nguyen.

Master Bui Tien Dat, Head of Market Information Department (Provincial Employment Service Center), said: Currently, the Center has 2 main locations in Bac Kan ward and Phan Dinh Phung ward, 2 locations but ensure a smooth process. Receiving and returning administrative procedure results are maintained seamlessly, promptly serving the needs of employees and businesses.

In order to meet the demand for labor market information, in July, the Center conducted a survey on the recruitment needs of 158 enterprises; at the same time, collected job search information of 1,360 workers in communes and wards, mainly workers in rural areas.

Along with that, the Center also recorded opinions from 1,500 people about labor demand and recruitment, vocational training enrollment, as well as information about job positions that are looking for candidates.

Regular job fairs and job consultation conferences are maintained. In July, the Center successfully organized 1 job fair and 1 conference on propaganda, consultation, and job introduction for employees; labor supply and recruitment; collection and provision of labor market information; and implementation of unemployment insurance policies for hundreds of employees.

In order to raise awareness of employees about the Labor Law and related policies; at the same time, support employees to grasp the most complete and accurate information about the labor market, equip them with job-seeking skills, the Center not only organizes direct job counseling at the headquarters and mobile job fairs, but also coordinates with local authorities to maintain conferences to provide labor market information.

Also through communication channels such as the website, Facebook fanpage, Zalo, Youtube, email and the Center's specialized newsletter, new and practical information is fully conveyed, helping workers to be more proactive and confident when participating in the labor market.

Employers are always ready to welcome workers.

After more than a month of consolidation, the Center has provided consultation on policies and laws on labor, employment and unemployment insurance for 1,635 people; introduced jobs to 400 people. Through the Center, 138 employees have been accepted to work by businesses.

In addition to connecting domestic jobs, the Center also proactively provides career counseling and orientation and supports employees to participate in programs sending Vietnamese employees to work abroad for a limited period under contracts.

Also in July, the Center received 793 applications for unemployment benefits, including 495 applications submitted directly and 298 applications submitted online via the National Public Service Portal. On that basis, the Center issued 887 decisions on unemployment benefits, and at the same time implemented many decisions to suspend, continue or terminate benefits according to regulations.

In addition, the Center also supports vocational training for 39 cases, helping workers improve their skills and return to the labor market soon.

To better meet the supply and demand needs in the labor market, in the last months of the year, the Center continues to promote the collection and analysis of market data, thereby making realistic forecasts, helping workers and businesses proactively develop recruitment and job search plans.

At the same time, the Center maintains and expands cooperation with businesses, training institutions, as well as employment service centers in provinces and cities associated with Thai Nguyen, thereby opening up more job opportunities, bringing practical and sustainable benefits to both employees and businesses.
