Teachers must be people with the "breath of life"
Speaking at the seminar "Training high-quality human resources: Impetus from Resolution 57", organized by the People's Representative Newspaper on the morning of March 15, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Director of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, said that currently, our universities are focusing on imparting knowledge and describing and interpreting technology. However, we need to teach students the basics of absorbing, transferring and applying technology. From there, we can train a generation capable of mastering and creating technology. This is a long-term task that requires fundamental changes in highereducation , which will continue the story of innovation. Therefore, the role of teachers in universities today needs to change and the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology also recognizes such a mission.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, there are currently three factors to evaluate students: knowledge, skills and behavior, attitude of responsibility for work, responsibility for society. In terms of knowledge, Vietnamese students today are approaching 80 - 90% compared to the most advanced schools. However, students' skills need to be improved a lot, and from these skills can there be innovation in education. Therefore, students must experience right from the first and second years. To do so, there needs to be real environments to encourage students' creativity early, from afar. In terms of behavior, attitude and responsibility for society, we need education, we need businesses that are dedicated to the country, which are large businesses so that students can experience and learn about this responsibility.
At the same time, teachers must be the ones who bring “life breath” into the teaching process, both updating knowledge and having experience in real-life environments to create and innovate in technology applications and providing technology solutions. Therefore, the connection of universities must have 3 connections between training, scientific research and business production, and these three factors cannot be separated from each other.
“As one of the five technical schools planned by the Government and trusted by the Ministry of Education, we hope that universities will collaborate and share. In implementing Resolution 57, each university is like a miniature society, from research, training, production, business, and innovation. In innovation, we also hope that schools with strengths will become innovation centers so that all young people with ideas can participate and experience,” Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac emphasized.
"If Vietnam is strong, then knowledge must also be strong."
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, our legal framework also needs to be strongly dismantled to create favorable conditions for training institutions to quickly bring new, breakthrough policies of the Party and State into life in the context of science and technology changing every day, every hour.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, lifelong learning is becoming necessary, especially in the field of science and technology. By 2040, Vietnam will have run out of its golden population generation and the proportion of older people will increase. If we do not see that the training and learning needs of the upcoming society are very large, the problem of human resource shortage will arise.

Besides, according to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the problem now is that we have to look at the global problem. Giving an example of the model of exporting knowledge abroad, he said that we must be confident and export knowledge. If we say that Vietnam is strong, then knowledge must also be strong. We must have a comparison with foreign countries, such as India, China - countries with very good knowledge export plans. Therefore, Vietnam must also focus on creating high-quality global human resources or exporting knowledge. Thus, there must also be stronger policies. There even needs to be a state policy that considers graduate students and master's students as a paid and dedicated profession like current professions. Consider this a real profession and contribute intellectually.
