Strengthening management of foreign workers in the tourism sector

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document requesting to strengthen management of foreign workers in the tourism sector.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to proactively organize the implementation of the contents under the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Official Dispatch No. 6427, dated August 14, 2025 on strengthening state management of foreign workers in the tourism sector. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee noted to urgently study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to implement the assigned responsibilities in Decree No. 219, dated August 7, 2025 of the Government regulating foreign workers working in Vietnam to ensure practicality, suitability, strictness, synchronization, unity, efficiency and compliance with regulations; regularly review and summarize difficulties and problems in the process of implementing regulations related to foreign workers working in Vietnam, including the tourism sector, and report to advise and propose to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.

In Official Dispatch No. 6427, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested provinces and centrally-run cities to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of legal provisions on foreign workers working at agencies, organizations, enterprises and contractors in the area, including the tourism sector; proactively and promptly detect and strictly handle cases of foreigners entering to work without a permit, illegally or operating for purposes other than the purpose of entry. In addition, propagate, guide and disseminate legal provisions on foreign workers working in Vietnam, especially the 2019 Labor Code and Decree No. 219, Decree No. 128 of the Government regulating decentralization and delegation in state management of the home affairs sector in appropriate and practical forms...
