Department of Science and Technology pays tribute to heroic martyrs

On August 16, the Department of Science and Technology of Tay Ninh province organized a program to return to the source to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Huynh Thi Hong Nhung led the delegation.

Department of Science and Technology organizes a trip to the source in Tay Ninh province

During the journey, the delegation held a ceremony to pay respect to martyrs at the Giao bua - Thong tin "R" Martyrs Cemetery (Tan Bien commune, Tay Ninh province).

This is a memorial place for the officers and soldiers of the communications industry who fought steadfastly and maintained the information network during the fierce war years.

Next, the delegation offered incense at the Martyrs Cemetery Hill 82 - Tay Ninh (Tan Bien commune, Tay Ninh province) - one of the largest cemeteries in the province.

This is the resting place of thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the US, to save the country and to fulfill international obligations, and is also the place where memorial services and burials of martyrs' remains gathered in Cambodia since the war until now are held.

The delegation also spent time visiting the Central Office of Southern Vietnam historical site (Tan Lap commune, Tay Ninh province). This place is considered the capital of the Southern revolution during the period of resistance against the US to save the country.

The relic site was recognized as a special national relic in 2012. Here, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the restoration of the Postal Service and Central Information Department bases, which preserve the heroic history of the Post and Telecommunications sector during the resistance war.

Through the program, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers not only review the heroic traditions of the nation but also have the opportunity to strengthen solidarity and unity within the agency and unit.

The activity contributes to arousing national pride, patriotism, and sense of responsibility of today's generation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland./.
