This morning, January 21, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) of Quang Tri held a conference to review the first semester and deploy tasks for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

In the first semester, the Department of Education and Training advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to issue many local mechanisms and policies to develop the education and training career. The direction and implementation of the 2018 General Education Program and textbooks for all levels and classes were on schedule and achieved many results. State management in the field of education and training was strengthened; communication work had many innovations, creating spread and attention from society.

The quality of mass education is maintained stably, the quality of spearheads is increasing in quantity and quality. Discipline and order are thoroughly implemented and effectively enhanced; the role of the leader is promoted.

Educational institutions actively promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in management and teaching, creating strong changes in both awareness and action with high determination.

The work of assessing the quality of education and national standard schools, scientific research, STEM education and international cooperation is increasingly focused on, contributing to promoting and improving the quality of education in the entire sector.

In 2025, the entire education and training sector is determined to continue to strive to complete the tasks and plans set out in the 2024-2025 school year with 9 key tasks. Accordingly, advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to issue mechanisms and policies for education and training development; focus on reviewing and directing the entire sector to strive to complete the assigned target: The rate of schools meeting national standards is 70%.

Reorganize the Department of Education and Training according to the project of the Provincial People's Committee; continue to reorganize public education units according to Resolution 19-NQ/TW. Focus on effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program for all classes.

Review, arrange and organize classes, teachers and staff in accordance with actual conditions; recruit teachers according to assigned staffing levels, gradually overcome the surplus and shortage of teachers in educational institutions.

Continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to increase investment in facilities and teaching equipment, increase the rate of solidification of schools and classrooms; promote the construction of public housing for teachers and sanitation and clean water facilities in schools. Prepare physical facilities to implement the new Preschool Education Program.

2025 is the first school year to organize the High School Graduation Exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. The Department of Staff of the Provincial People's Committee directs and closely coordinates with functional forces, departments, branches, and localities to fully prepare and organize the exam to ensure quality, safety, seriousness, efficiency, create favorable conditions and reduce pressure for students.

On this occasion, the Minister of Education and Training awarded a certificate of merit to the Department of Education and Training of Dong Ha City for its achievements in the emulation movement of innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning in the 2023-2024 school year; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 individuals; the Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in 2024.
