Recently, rumors of Xavi Hernandez applying for the position of head coach of the Indian national team suddenly spread. Accordingly, the former Barcelona strategist is said to have made a good impression, but the AIFF was forced to reject him because he could not meet the salary requirements.

This story has caused a lot of discussion. Some people think that Xavi is so unemployed that he has to go to a country where football is not the number one sport. Others say that AIFF is too stingy and does not dare to "open its wallet" to invite good coaches, so their football will never be able to progress.

But in the end, the story was completely fabricated. AIFF denied that Xavi had actually applied. Instead, the application email they received was fake.

In a press release, AIFF said: "We received application emails from Spanish coaches Xavi Hernandez and Pep Guardiola. The authenticity of these letters is not available, they are completely fake."

The Athletic later found out the identity of the person who "pranked" the Indian Football Federation. Specifically, this is a student only 19 years old, studying at Vellore Academy in India.

The person used ChatGPT to draft a job application email, posing as Xavi. He then sent the email to the All India Football Federation. Images of the email went viral on social media, but no one has been able to verify whether it is authentic or not.

Meanwhile, many people believe that AIFF was actually "trapped" by the student's trick. However, they were forced to say that they discovered the email was false to avoid losing face.
