On October 14, 2024, SABECO participated for the first time in the exhibition of achievements in applying the circular economy model organized by the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO VN) since joining the Alliance in August 2024. As part of the activities to celebrate the 5th anniversary of PRO VN, the event is also an opportunity for member enterprises, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations at home and abroad to look back on the journey of promoting the circular economy model in the context of waste pollution being one of the urgent issues globally and in Vietnam. Every year, up to 300 million tons of plastic waste are discharged into the environment worldwide. According to statistics from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in Vietnam, this number is 1.8 million tons but only 10% is recycled.
