Quang Tri: Rewarding Border Guards for destroying a drug trafficking ring of nearly 300kg

Accordingly, Project Team QB252 was awarded 50 million VND and certificates of merit for 3 groups and 6 individuals; Project Team HT825 was also awarded 50 million VND, 2 groups and 4 individuals were awarded certificates of merit. The Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee sent a letter of commendation to the forces participating in Project QB525, contributing to the successful destruction of the drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam.

Previously, at 9:05 a.m. on August 15, in Hai Van ward ( Da Nang city), Quang Tri Border Guard presided over and coordinated with the Central Drug Prevention Task Force (Department of Drug Prevention and Crime) and Da Nang Border Guard to destroy a transnational drug ring, catching two subjects NTL (residing in Hoa Xuan ward, Da Nang city) and D.BHC (residing in An Khe ward, Da Nang city) for illegally transporting drugs.

The seized evidence included 295.5 kg of various drugs, 2 cars and many related documents. Notably, at NTL's residence, the authorities discovered 2 more guns (AK and homemade gun) and 7 bullets.

The success of the project continues to affirm the determination and close coordination of the Border Guard force in protecting national security and the peaceful life of the people.
