Quang Ngai carefully prepares major political and cultural events

On the morning of August 12, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang chaired the regular meeting of July to assess the socio -economic situation in July and the first 7 months of the year; deploy key tasks in August and the remaining months of 2025.

In July 2025, the Provincial People's Committee focused on perfecting the organizational apparatus, ensuring smooth operations; maintaining political and administrative stability; doing a good job of ideological work and propaganda to create consensus among cadres, party members and people on the merger policy; maintaining security and order, not interrupting the operations of the government system.

The province has resolutely directed the handling of outstanding issues, removed bottlenecks, and effectively mobilized resources to promote growth. Thanks to that, the socio-economic situation in July achieved many positive results: industrial production continued to recover, most key products increased significantly compared to the same period last year, and the industrial production index increased by 3.93% compared to the previous month.

Trade and services are vibrant, total retail sales of goods, revenue from consumer services, transportation, warehousing and transportation support services all increase. Tourism maintains growth momentum. Health care, disease prevention, and medical examination and treatment for people are well implemented; the apparatus is reorganized, staff is effectively reduced; social security is ensured; national defense and security are strengthened, social order and safety are stable.

In the first 7 months, industrial production maintained its growth momentum with many key products increasing significantly compared to the same period last year. The average consumer price index increased by 3.08%; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue was estimated at VND 76,583 billion, up 13.65%, reaching 60.6% of the yearly plan.

Export turnover reached 45.5% of the plan; import increased by 10.9%, reaching 53.4% of the plan; revenue from transportation, warehousing and transportation support services reached over VND 8,893 billion, up 19.19%.

Tourist arrivals are estimated at 2.945 million, up 11%, reaching 60% of the plan. The public investment capital plan for 2025 is 9,438 billion VND, estimated to disburse about 4,538 billion VND by July 31, equal to 58% of the capital plan assigned by the Central Government.

In August 2025 and the last months of 2025, the Provincial People's Committee will resolutely organize the implementation of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development according to Resolution No. 205/NQ-CP dated July 6, 2025 of the Government; Conclusion of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Resolution of the Provincial People's Council. The whole province is determined to complete the socio-economic development targets set for 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee will focus on implementing on schedule, ensuring the quality of the tasks in the key work program for the third quarter of 2025; fully preparing, ensuring the quality and progress of the contents submitted to the 13th Provincial People's Council at the 3rd thematic session in 2025.

At the same time, closely monitor the activities of local authorities at two levels, promptly remove obstacles, and ensure the apparatus operates smoothly, effectively and efficiently.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that in order to promptly and fully convey the direction of the Provincial People's Committee leaders on socio-economic development throughout the area, it is necessary to change the way regular meetings are organized from August 2025.

Accordingly, the province will organize regular meetings in person at the main bridge point of the provincial People's Committee headquarters and online to 96 communes, wards and special zones in the whole province. The purpose is for local leaders to grasp information and promptly and consistently implement all the province's instructions on performing tasks from the province to the grassroots level.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested departments, branches and localities to closely follow the direction of the central government and the province, continue to accelerate, make breakthroughs, exceed and achieve the set targets and plans. Review all targets and tasks, if the results are still low, focus on implementing them more drastically.

For unfinished public investment projects, construction must be accelerated and disbursed quickly. For new projects, procedures must be completed for approval, as a basis for implementing the next steps, and construction must begin soon. For non-budget projects, both the progress of ongoing projects must be urged and new projects must be attracted to priority areas.

Members of the Provincial People's Committee who have been assigned to be in charge of communes, wards, and special zones must monitor and direct more comprehensively, and work closely with the locality in the process of stabilization and development. Grassroots cadres need to promote their capacity and responsibility, and accompany the people in implementing economic development and stabilizing their lives.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested: "In August and September 2025, the province will organize many activities to celebrate important holidays and political events. Therefore, departments, branches and localities need to focus on implementing well, ensuring meaning, solemnity and effectiveness".
