Promote OCOP products through display points

Along with trade promotion activities, Lam Dong province has built a system of booths and display points to introduce and sell OCOP products, contributing to promoting the brand and connecting the consumption of local agricultural products to consumers.

Bring OCOP products to consumers

In the Southeast region of the province, from 2022 to present, the store introducing and trading science and technology products and OCOP products (belonging to the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology Advances of the province) has been operating effectively. Here, a variety of OCOP products are displayed: hydroponic green vegetables, fresh dragon fruit, dragon fruit jam and wine, dragon fruit rice wine, peppermint essential oil, rice paper cake, traditional fish sauce, dried seafood, etc.

OCOP product introduction point brings agricultural and aquatic products of the province closer to consumers

This is a familiar address for consumers, especially housewives looking to buy products with clear origin. Ms. Tran Thi Huong (Ham Thang ward) shared: “I often buy OCOP products for use and as gifts for family and friends. The stalls are diverse, have beautiful designs, and clearly list prices. I feel secure because the products have guaranteed origin and quality.”

In Binh Thuan ward, the exhibition site at 10 Hai Thuong Lan Ong introduces many OCOP specialties of cooperatives inside and outside the province. From fresh dragon fruit and processed products, to rice paper cakes, tamarind candy, cashew nuts, rice, dried seafood to fish sauce... all have OCOP certification and ensure food hygiene and safety. Therefore, this place has become a familiar destination for consumers and groups of visitors to visit, shop, and seek cooperation opportunities. Currently, there are 7 cooperatives, 4 enterprises in the province and 3 cooperatives outside the province sending products here. In recent times, tons of fresh agricultural products and processed products have been introduced to the market, contributing to increasing the value and expanding the market for cooperative products.

Product promotion associated with market expansion

According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, since 2020, the department has built 4 points to introduce and sell OCOP products from local budget sources. Currently, 3 points are operating stably, including: Dak Nong OCOP Store (Dong Gia Nghia Ward), the store of DiLin Agricultural Products Processing Service Trading Cooperative (Hoa Bac Commune) and the store of Da Lat Flower Forest Biotechnology Joint Stock Company.

In the period of 2021-2025, the Department of Industry and Trade of the province organized more than 150 trade promotion programs, market surveys, and trade connections in major markets such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho, Kien Giang, An Giang, Dong Thap... helping many businesses to link up to distribute and consume products more effectively. The propaganda and promotion of OCOP products are regularly deployed by departments and branches, combining many forms, mass media, introducing at conferences, fairs, seminars, connecting supply and demand and trade with provinces and cities at home and abroad. Thanks to that, Lam Dong's OCOP products are increasingly reaching consumers, expanding the market and enhancing brand value.

In the 2026-2030 period, the province will focus on improving the effectiveness of supporting OCOP product introduction points; further promoting the leadership and direction of all levels, sectors and localities, and encouraging businesses to actively participate in the program. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, the province will promote trade promotion activities, expand markets, organize and participate in activities connecting supply and demand, connecting trade and product exhibitions.

According to statistics, Lam Dong province currently has 725 OCOP products, of which 7 are 5-star products at the national level and the rest are 3-4 stars at the provincial level.

At the same time, continue to expand the network of OCOP product introduction and sales points, prioritizing mountainous areas, remote areas; promote promotion associated with local product brands. In addition, support businesses to invest in commercial infrastructure, expand distribution systems... The goal is to bring quality Vietnamese goods at reasonable prices closer to all classes of consumers, while enhancing the value and competitiveness of Lam Dong OCOP products.
