These bombs and mines were collected in 9 provinces, including: Vinh Long, Tien Giang, Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Hau Giang, An Giang, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang and Ca Mau. Most of the bombs and mines collected this time weighed from 500 to 1000 pounds and still had their detonators intact; some were rusted, dented, and were deep in the riverbed, making the collection and disposal process very difficult. However, the unit's officers and soldiers strictly followed the principles and technical procedures, successfully destroying 100% of the bombs and mines, ensuring absolute safety.

It is known that the Mekong Delta is one of the areas with a large number of bombs and ammunition left over from the war, scattered in provinces and cities, mainly concentrated in Tien Giang, Kien Giang and Ben Tre. In recent times, Military Region 9 has made efforts to clear thousands of tons of bombs, mines and explosives, contributing to land liberation, serving people's welfare and socio-economic development; at the same time, promoting activities to support and help victims of bomb and mine accidents.

Below are some pictures of the bomb collection and disposal force:
