Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong expressed his belief that the Embassy will continue to make worthy contributions to strengthening and developing Vietnam-China relations.

On the afternoon of August 18, in Beijing, within the framework of a working visit to China at the invitation of the National People's Congress of China, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, had a meeting with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in China.

On behalf of all staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in China, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh expressed his joy at welcoming the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly at a meaningful time, right on the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, in the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the great celebration of the 80th National Day.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh reported on the general situation of the Vietnamese community in China and the results of the Embassy's work.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that the visit of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, who is also Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Group, is of great significance, being the first high-level delegation exchange between the National Assembly/People's Congress, the legislative bodies of the two countries on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025, which will contribute to enhancing political trust and promoting substantive cooperation in the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.

On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh gave an overview of the situation of the Vietnamese community in China and the results of the Embassy's work in recent times.

The Ambassador affirmed that with the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, Government , National Assembly and the effective coordination of ministries, branches and localities in the country, the Embassy will make every effort to comprehensively deploy all aspects of work and successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Sending his regards and sincere feelings and concerns from his homeland to the staff working in foreign affairs at the Embassy and the people living, working and studying in China, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong shared updated information on the socio-economic development situation, especially in the early stages of the country implementing a two-level local government.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong emphasized the efforts and contributions of the diplomatic sector in general and of representative agencies in particular, especially acknowledging the contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy in China in the roadmap to build the "four pillars" of important Resolutions of the Politburo in the era of development; expressing his belief that the Embassy will continue to make worthy contributions to consolidating and developing Vietnam-China relations.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly listened to and noted the opinions and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese representatives, highly appreciating the role of "people's ambassadors" of overseas Vietnamese and international students in the area.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh, on behalf of all staff of the Embassy, thanked Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and the working delegation for their positive assessments; promised to continue to strive to do well in all aspects of work, meet expectations, and contribute his utmost to consolidating and developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, concretizing the common perception of the Senior Leaders on building a Community of Shared Future with strategic significance in the direction of "6 more".
