Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal to the Military Ceremonial Delegation.

On the morning of August 20, in Hanoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, attended the 80th Anniversary Ceremony and received the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal from the Military Ceremonial Corps, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. President Luong Cuong sent a flower basket to congratulate the Anniversary Ceremony.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal to the Military Ceremonial Delegation, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, for their outstanding achievements in training, combat readiness, building the People's Army, consolidating national defense, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense , Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien emphasized that in order to successfully fulfill the task of serving the ceremonies of the Party, State, and Army in the new situation, officers and soldiers of the Army Ceremonial Corps continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's resolutions and conclusions on military and defense tasks, the Resolution of the Central Military Commission, and educate to raise awareness and responsibility of officers and soldiers on the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

In addition, proactively propose content and measures to lead the organization to implement and successfully complete the ceremonial tasks of the Party, State and Army.

In the immediate future, focus on successfully completing the task of participating in the parade, marching to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the General Staff's Traditional Day.

Officers and soldiers of the Army Ceremonial Corps constantly improve the quality of training; innovate the thinking and methods of the command staff; build good training in ceremonial skills, and complete other technical and professional tasks in the new situation.

With 80 years of glorious tradition and rich lessons, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien believes that under the leadership and direction of the Party and State, directly from the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense, all officers and soldiers of the Army Ceremonial Corps will continue to promote the tradition of the heroic unit of the people's armed forces in the renovation period; always be a typical force representing the image of the Vietnam People's Army in the most sacred moments and important events of the country and nation; excellently complete all tasks entrusted by the Party, State, Army and people.

After 80 years of building, serving, fighting and growing, the Army Ceremonial Corps has grown steadily, from the "Liberation Army Music Band", "Honorary Guard to protect Uncle Ho and the Party Central Committee", then the National Army Music Band and the Honorary Battalion of the 47th Regiment. In March 1979, the Military Music Band and the Honorary Battalion merged into the "781st Ceremonial Regiment". In September 1991, the unit was renamed the 781st Ceremonial Corps. In 2002, the Ministry of National Defense decided to restructure the organization into a full-strength Brigade under the Capital Military Region. In August 2008, the Corps was transferred to the General Staff and on November 3, 2008, the Ministry of National Defense decided to change its name to the Army Ceremonial Corps.

Under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, directly the Party Committee, the former Hanoi Capital Command, the Party Committee of the General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense today; with the attention and enthusiastic support of the Party Committees, authorities and people of localities; the close and effective coordination and cooperation of agencies and units inside and outside the Army, generations of officers and soldiers of the Army Ceremonial Corps have promoted the good nature and glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, always striving to train, strive, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and excellently fulfill the task of serving the ceremonies of the Party, State and Army.

The Military Ceremonial Delegation has demonstrated professionalism and a high sense of responsibility, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of the people and international friends.
