On the morning of September 28, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper held a launching ceremony for the Campaign to compose the song " A Country Full of Joy".
This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); contributing to educating the nation's historical traditions, pride in the homeland and Fatherland, while promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people as united, hospitable, rich, beautiful, and steadfast in the face of all challenges and difficulties.

All Vietnamese citizens and foreign citizens (those with foreign nationality, living, studying and working in Vietnam) can submit works to participate in the campaign. The works must praise and reflect the great achievements that the Party and people of the whole country have achieved in the fields of politics, economics, culture and society; reflect the revolutionary cultural tradition throughout the history of the formation and development of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular; praise the construction of Ho Chi Minh City into a civilized, dynamic, modern and affectionate city.

Each author can submit up to 3 works. Works sent to the Organizing Committee must have full music and Vietnamese lyrics, and must be accompanied by a CD of the recorded song or an MP3, MP4 file. The works must be new, unpublished in any form and free of copyright disputes. The Organizing Committee will not consider or award prizes for works that copy or imitate the ideas, melodies, and lyrics of other authors at home and abroad.
The award structure includes 1 first prize (100 million VND), 1 second prize (50 million VND), 2 third prizes (30 million VND/prize), 3 consolation prizes (10 million VND/prize).

The campaign is accepting entries from now until December 30, 2024. The preliminary and final rounds will take place in early 2025.
The award ceremony of the campaign and the music night introducing the winning songs are expected to be held in April 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
In addition, the Organizing Committee will select 1 to 3 songs in the preliminary round to perform at the 30th Mai Vang Awards ceremony, scheduled to be held in January 2025. In addition, the songs participating in the campaign will be introduced on social networking platforms and publishing media of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

On this occasion, the Lao Dong Newspaper honored People's Artist Ta Minh Tam and People's Artist Thoai Mieu with the Mai Vang Award of gratitude. These are two veteran singers and artists in the field of music and reformed theater, who have made many contributions of talent and artistic creativity to the country's cultural and artistic scene.
