On April 4, Vietnam Railways Corporation held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Truong Trong Vuong as Principal of the Railway College. Comrade Hoang Gia Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation attended and directed the ceremony.

In his speech assigning tasks to the new Principal, Comrade Hoang Gia Khanh emphasized that the demand for quality human resources for high-speed railways, new railways and existing railways is very large, therefore, training work is of special importance. Along with that, the Railway College being upgraded to the Railway Academy in the coming time is not only an honor, pride, opportunity, but also a challenge, and a political task. Comrade Hoang Gia Khanh hopes that under the leadership of the new Principal, the School needs to uphold the spirit of solidarity, build into a unified, strong block. The staff and lecturers need to support and coordinate well with the School Principal to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Truong Trong Vuong expressed his deep gratitude to the Standing Committee, the Board of Members, the Board of Directors, and the Organizing Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation for their trust and assignment. He emphasized that this is both an honor and a great responsibility and many challenges lie ahead. The new Principal of the school shared his clear awareness of the school's responsibilities, especially the tasks of applied scientific research, training for new railways and high-speed railways, requiring each teacher to study and research on his own, and study to improve his qualifications to meet the training needs in the new situation. Comrade Truong Trong Vuong pledged to devote all his intelligence and enthusiasm to successfully complete the assigned tasks, adhere to the principles of democratic centralism and solidarity within the school; be exemplary in performing tasks and observing discipline; dare to think, dare to do; build a professional working style. Inheriting the good traditions of the school, for the common development of the school, implementing solutions to continue building the Railway College into a transparent and clean governance mechanism.

Mr. Truong Trong Vuong is a doctor of science and technology specializing in railways and roads, specializing in high-speed railway structural dynamics, and was a postgraduate student at Southwest University of Transportation, China from 2009 to 2014. He is a member of the State Examination Council, the Ministry-level Science Council, and the Department, with many topics and articles at home and abroad. Before becoming the new Principal, he held the position of Vice Principal in charge for 2 years.
