Accordingly, at the meeting, the People's Council of Thai Binh province carried out the procedure to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Khac Than from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. Previously, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was elected by the Executive Committee of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Next, the Provincial People's Council carried out the process of electing the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Khac Than. As a result, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected by 100% of the delegates of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Council as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021 - 2026.

Previously, on January 14, while holding the position of member of the Central Inspection Commission, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung was mobilized and transferred by the Secretariat to join the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Manh Hung, thanked the delegates of the Provincial People's Council for their trust and confidence in electing him as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; recognizing this as an honor but also a great task and responsibility for the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Binh province; expressing his will to make efforts, dedication and wholeheartedly to successfully complete the assigned tasks; hoping to receive the consensus and cooperation of the members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, localities, cadres and civil servants in the entire provincial government system, joining hands to realize the goal of making Thai Binh a fairly developed province in the country.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung , 51 years old, from Phuc Tho district, Hanoi; has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, a Doctorate in Economics, and a high level of political theory. Before working in Thai Binh province, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung held many positions at the Central Inspection Commission, such as Deputy Director of the Financial Inspection Department, Deputy Director of the General Economic Department, Deputy Director of the Central Department 1, Director of the Financial Inspection Department, Director of the Central Department 1. From March 2023, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung has been a member of the Central Inspection Commission.

Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee currently has Vice Chairmen Nguyen Quang Hung (standing), Lai Van Hoan, and Pham Van Nghiem.
