NXBGDVN introduces the Financial Education book series for students from grades 1 to 12

The Financial Education book series was compiled by Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times . This is the first book series to build a comprehensive financial knowledge system for schools, in line with the 2018 General Education Program, combining financial and banking theory with cultural values, ethics, and life skills.

The book series consists of 3 parts, scientifically arranged, valuable in knowledge, ensuring interdisciplinary and pedagogical aspects to be suitable for both teaching and learning at all levels with the criteria: easy to remember - easy to understand - easy to absorb - easy to apply and interesting .

In particular, the author has used many folk songs, proverbs, idioms, short stories, everyday stories, old stories, national traditions and familiar cultural symbols to bridge financial knowledge closer to students. The content is designed to integrate financial and banking knowledge with moral education, life skills and civic education.

The book series is also a concrete step in implementing the "National Comprehensive Financial Strategy to 2025, vision to 2030" approved by the Prime Minister , which clearly states that financial knowledge needs to be taught to high school students, integrated with subjects and levels in the curriculum to enhance understanding and develop financial capacity and thinking for the younger generation.

Helping the younger generation manage money smartly and responsibly

Speaking at the Program, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director of the Publishing House of Education of Vietnam, shared: Realizing the urgency in equipping financial knowledge and skills for students of all levels, and diversifying the sources of content choices when implementing 2-session/day teaching, the Publishing House of Education of Vietnam organized and invited a group of authors who are experts with extensive experience in the field of financial and banking education to coordinate in compiling the Financial Education textbook series, aiming to be able to be used for teaching in schools.

In addition, the book series is also considered a useful reference document to improve people's knowledge, spreading financial knowledge widely to a variety of interested readers.

"The Financial Education book series is not only a published product, but also the passion and belief of the Vietnam Education Publishing House sent to the young generation of Vietnam," Mr. Tien Thanh emphasized.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh also expressed his hope that the simple financial lessons will help children gradually form a solid financial mindset, know how to manage money intelligently, humanely and responsibly. The book series will be useful learning materials, valuable luggage, and close companions for children on the road to adulthood.

"We will constantly innovate, listen to sincere feedback, update and supplement practical knowledge and skills so that each page of the book not only conveys knowledge, but also arouses the spirit of autonomy, responsibility and aspiration to rise up in each student, contributing to forming a generation of brave citizens who know how to live for the community," Mr. Tien Thanh shared.

The author of the book series believes that financial education is a global concern today. Many developed countries have introduced financial literacy programs for high school students and consider this a necessary skill to equip high school students. Vietnam is a developing country, deeply integrated, strongly promoting digital transformation, so financial education is even more necessary and urgent.

NXBGDVN expressed hope that the Financial Education book series will help students gradually build healthy financial habits, form smart consumerism and a positive attitude towards labor values, thereby comprehensively developing their capacity and qualities and becoming responsible citizens in a modern economy and developed society.
