Young woman from Ninh Binh was honored as "Shining Vietnamese willpower"

The program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" is an annual activity organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with the Vietnam Disabled Youth Association and TCP Vietnam Company, to honor disabled youth with great willpower, overcoming adversity, spreading positive inspiration and affirming practical contributions to the community. This year, after 3 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee received 52 applications from 17 units and organizations. The selection board selected 25 outstanding disabled youth to honor. The honored faces come from many regions and different professions, but all have the willpower to overcome difficulties and the desire to contribute.

Born with disabled legs, Ms. Xuan always strives to improve herself. After graduating from high school, she attended a free IT training course for the disabled and had the opportunity to work stably at PixelVN Company. Not stopping at herself, she opened an online class to teach IT and basic design to more than 20 disabled students. After finishing the course, all students found jobs with a stable income of about 5 million VND/month.

In community work, she is an active member of the Provincial Disabled Youth Club, regularly participating in training and communication classes, spreading the image of disabled people overcoming difficulties. With diligence and savings, she built a row of rented rooms, including 2 free rooms for disabled workers in the industrial park; every month, she donates a portion of her income to support difficult circumstances in the locality. She is currently raising an abandoned newborn baby girl.

With those contributions, Ms. Le Thi Xuan is the only representative of Ninh Binh to be honored at this year's program, receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" logo and a savings book worth 10 million VND.

Launched in 2013, the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" has so far honored 275 outstanding examples of disabled youth nationwide - those who not only overcome adversity but also nurture the will to live, spreading positive spirit in the community.
