Muong Khuong farmers earn nearly 68 billion VND from spring tea

The selling price of spring tea this year increased by 500 VND/kg compared to last year and fluctuated from 6,000 - 8,000 VND/kg.

Muong Khuong is the locality with the largest tea area in the province.

Currently, Muong Khuong district has 5,840 hectares of tea, of which 3,650 hectares are commercial tea, 1,796 hectares are basic construction tea and 394 hectares are newly planted in 2024.

According to tea growers, this year's weather is relatively favorable, so tea plants grow and develop well; in particular, spring tea is purchased by companies and cooperatives in the district, so product output is very stable.

Households in Muong Khuong district have completed spring tea harvesting early, with a total output of over 9,000 tons, selling prices ranging from 6,000 - 8,000 VND, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to the same period last year.

Immediately after harvesting the spring tea crop, people in Muong Khuong district immediately started taking care of the main tea crop of the year.
