To focus on leadership and direction, the Commune Party Committee issued a Resolution on strengthening the leadership and direction of the Party Committee at all levels in the work of building the commune to meet the advanced new rural standards by 2024. At the same time, the Management Board of National Target Programs of My Son Commune, the Management Board of Villages for the period 2021-2025 with full members who are cadres and civil servants of sectors, unions, and villages in the commune. The Commune People's Committee periodically organizes a preliminary review to evaluate the achieved results, and at the same time points out the shortcomings, limitations and causes in order to set out goals, tasks and solutions for implementation in the next phase. With the consensus and determination of the entire political system and people, the commune has accelerated the implementation progress and completed the criteria of an advanced new-style rural commune.

Recognizing difficulties from the beginning, especially the need to mobilize large resources to complete the criteria on: Building infrastructure, developing production models, vocational training, job creation, ... the commune has focused on promoting production development, increasing income for people. On the other hand, taking advantage of the attention, support and investment of superiors, the Commune People's Committee focused on calling for investment and building works to serve people's lives, thereby creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development in the locality. At the same time, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations focused on directing and mobilizing farmers to change the structure of crops and livestock, apply science and technology, and produce towards high-tech agriculture; develop household economy associated with cooperative economy, build many effective economic models, help each other develop family economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty and consider this an important criterion. In addition to the policy credit programs that have contributed to creating conditions for farmers to borrow capital to develop production, increase income, and improve their lives. Resources from the poverty reduction program, the new rural construction program, and other project programs have contributed to job creation, poverty reduction, increased income, and improved people's lives. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to the locality completing the criteria for building advanced new rural areas.

My Son commune has 6 villages, of which Nha Hui village is the most difficult village, with the proportion of ethnic minorities accounting for over 80%. To help people develop the economy, the commune Party Committee coordinates with local organizations to implement and integrate poverty reduction and livelihood programs for the people here. Mr. Vay Phoc Hy, Head of Nha Hui village, said: The whole village has 238 households with 924 people. In 2023, through the apple growing linkage project according to the value chain, 25 households, mainly poor and near-poor households in the village, participated. After being supported to develop the economy and link in production, the people's lives have improved significantly. Before the project, there were 6 poor households and 9 near-poor households, now there are only 3 poor households and 6 near-poor households.

Thanks to the drastic and synchronous participation, up to now, the income in My Son commune has reached 60 million VND/person/year. The rate of poor and near-poor households in many dimensions is 2.41%. The whole commune has mobilized over 43.9 billion VND, of which: Local budget capital is nearly 24 billion VND; enterprise capital is 1 billion VND; people's contributions are over 8.7 billion VND. Rural and intra-village roads are 100% concreted. Infrastructure is invested synchronously, schools and medical stations are repaired and newly built. Culture and society have many positive changes, the material and spiritual life of the people has improved significantly; 6/6 villages are recognized as cultural villages, reaching 100%. The collection and treatment of domestic wastewater by appropriate measures reached 84.5%; livestock farming ensuring veterinary hygiene and environmental protection reached 99.7%; The rate of organic waste and agricultural by-products in the commune collected, reused and recycled into raw materials, fuels and environmentally friendly products reached 88.5%.
