At 11am every day, nearly 1,000 workers and laborers of Nissei Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. take turns to be present at the communal dining room. On the trays are hot dishes prepared by the kitchen, beautifully and cleanly arranged. What is special is that this is the most valuable meal of the month, so the menu is richer, more diverse and more nutritious. After taking food according to their needs, each group of workers begins to eat in a happy atmosphere.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Bich, a worker at Nissei Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., shared: "Our meal today includes white rice, shrimp, chicken, stir-fried vegetables, crab soup and yogurt for dessert. Compared to normal days, today's menu has more dishes and is more nutritious. I hope the union and the company continue to have many policies to care for the lives of workers."

"Special Meals" are maintained monthly by Nissei Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. to provide nutrients for workers after stressful working hours. Each meal costs about 50,000 VND, twice as much as usual. To help workers have a better appetite, the kitchen regularly changes the menu. The ingredients are also imported from reputable production facilities with clear origins to ensure food safety and hygiene. Since its inception, this enterprise has never had a case of food poisoning among workers.

Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited currently has about 20,000 employees, the largest in the province. Over the years, this company has always focused on improving the quality of meals to help workers have enough health to work and produce. The company is maintaining daily meals for workers at a price of about 25,000 VND. On special occasions, the company increases the quality of meals to nearly 50,000 VND/meal.

The meals are prepared in a variety of ways with more than 10 different dishes. Desserts include fruit, yogurt or fresh milk. In addition, the company also fully supports the costs of electricity and water for the service provider, so the meal quota is not affected.

Taya Vietnam Electric Wire and Cable Joint Stock Company is a typical enterprise in Cam Giang district in taking care of the lives of workers. From 2019 to present, the enterprise has always maintained a "special meal" every Wednesday with the participation of leaders at all levels. Not only providing nutrition, this meal is also an opportunity for workers to express their thoughts, wishes or difficulties and problems in the process of labor and production. According to Mr. Phan Quang Trung, Chairman of the Trade Union of Taya Vietnam Electric Wire and Cable Joint Stock Company, the company currently has 104 staff and workers. To ensure the health of workers, the company always pays attention to the quality of meals. Instead of hiring outside units, the company proactively selects ingredients and cooks directly. Meals are constantly changed according to the opinions of workers. In particular, every Wednesday, the trade union will organize a "special meal" with a richer menu to supplement nutrients for staff and workers.

"The special meal was organized by the union in a joyful, open, and cohesive atmosphere. Workers were very excited to participate in this activity. This is also an opportunity for company leaders and grassroots unions to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers. From there, solutions are proposed to improve labor and production efficiency," Mr. Trung shared.
