The 16th Congress of Ninh Binh Provincial Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term is expected to take place on September 19 and 20. To celebrate this important event, many practical and meaningful activities have been implemented by Trade Union organizations in the province, attracting a large number of union members and workers to actively respond.

Comrade Tran Kim Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: The 16th Congress of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor is considered a broad and democratic political activity; a festival for cadres, union members and trade union organizations.

To practically achieve achievements to celebrate this important event, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed all levels of the Union to widely deploy and encourage each unit to carry out a project or task aiming to contribute to improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life and working conditions of union members and workers.

Accordingly, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province have proactively developed plans and registered to carry out projects, tasks, and initiatives to make achievements to welcome the Congress.

One of the outstanding activities in May was that the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the installation of a signboard for the Ninh Binh Trade Union Technical - Tourism College Phase 2. The project started construction in July 2022, with items such as: 4-storey student dormitory area with 37 rooms; practice area of ​​1,000 m2; multi-purpose area of ​​600 m2; physical training area, swimming pool for adults and children, area of ​​over 400 m2 and the campus behind the school.

After more than 1 year of construction, the project has been completed and put into use; creating a friendly, efficient, and closed working environment and space from theoretical learning to practical guidance. Thereby, contributing to promoting innovation in management and training methods, creating quality human resources with professional qualifications and skills, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization associated with the development of a knowledge-based economy.

At the same time, the Labor Federation organized a dialogue between union officials at all levels and officials of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to have appropriate activities in resolving policies and regimes related to workers.

Along with that, preparations for the organization of the 16th Congress of Ninh Binh Trade Union are being urgently deployed, the subcommittees serving the Congress are proactively carrying out their tasks according to the plan to ensure progress.

On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor also coordinated to support the construction of "Union Shelter" houses for 5 union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of nearly 200 million VND; organized visits and presented 71 million VND to the families of workers who died of serious illnesses, families in difficult circumstances; presented nearly 20 gifts to union officials who are children of policy families.

Signed a new cooperation agreement to implement the "Union member welfare" program with Kim Thoa Trading and Business Company Limited, with a preferential discount of 10% on the total bill depending on each time and within 2 years, contributing to gradually improving and enhancing the lives of union members and workers...

Towards the 16th Ninh Binh Trade Union Congress, activities to care for, encourage and share with union members and workers in difficult circumstances and to build a strong trade union organization have received special attention from grassroots trade unions.

Comrade Do Hoang Oanh, Chairman of Tam Diep City Labor Federation, said: Towards the 16th Provincial Trade Union Congress, Tam Diep City Labor Union organized support for the construction of a "Trade Union Shelter" worth 50 million VND; awarded nearly 140 million VND to support 2 families of workers who died due to serious illness and traffic accidents, and were in difficult circumstances... Organized a training course on "Communication skills and the art of behavior in communication, especially in crowded working environments" for Chairmen of grassroots Trade Unions...

For the Provincial Civil Servants' Union, it has coordinated with Thanh An - Tan Trieu Clinic to provide free cancer screening for nearly 100 officials and union members in the bloc under the program "For Community Health" with a preferential value of 6,500,000 VND. The organization signed a cooperation agreement on the welfare program for union members with HOGI Group International Trading Joint Stock Company, helping union members and workers in the bloc to buy the company's products at preferential prices of 10%;

Organized traffic law dissemination for union members who are drivers at agencies and units under the provincial government and commended and rewarded 20 exemplary drivers; introduced 15 union members to be admitted to the Party, contributing to building an increasingly strong union organization.

The exciting atmosphere of competition towards the 16th Provincial Trade Union Congress has also spread to the grassroots trade unions at enterprises with many practical activities, such as: The Chungjye Shoe Company Limited Trade Union mobilized union officials and members of the Company to donate 68.5 million VND to support a family of a union member with a serious illness in difficult circumstances; coordinated with the company's Board of Directors to organize 10 skill training classes for 400 workers. In addition, the grassroots trade unions also actively launched emulation movements in labor production, to promote the production and business activities of the unit and enterprise.

In particular, during these days, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province have been promoting propaganda work, especially visual propaganda to welcome the 16th Provincial Trade Union Congress on all roads, agencies and units. At the same time, union members are encouraged to change their personal profile pictures on social networks to a background image welcoming the 16th Ninh Binh Provincial Trade Union Congress... Thereby, creating a vibrant atmosphere, while helping to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres and union members towards the Congress.

Along with that, many cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities took place on this occasion, attracting a large number of union members to participate, such as: Folk dance competition for workers of the Provincial Industrial Parks Union; Badminton tournament for workers and civil servants of the Kim Son District Labor Federation... contributed to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the Provincial Union Congress and improve the spiritual life, health and solidarity between union members and workers.
