He pointed out five solid foundations of the relationship between the two countries: the establishment of a Strategic Partnership in 2024; the potential market of over 300 million people; good relations not only at the State level but also at the people's and parliamentary channels; large room for economic and trade cooperation, especially in Brazil's strong areas; the strategic perspective of Brazilian leaders promoting Vietnam's role in ASEAN and promoting multilateral cooperation.

On that basis, he made five suggestions for cooperation, including: strengthening local connections, building sisterhood relations between provinces, cities and states of the two countries; promoting cooperation between the Vietnam - Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association, the Vietnam - Brazil Friendship Parliamentarians' Group with the Brazil - Vietnam Friendship Association (ABRAVIET) and the Brazil - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group; expanding youth exchanges, education and training cooperation, connecting universities; digitizing the Portuguese - Vietnamese dictionary for easy access by people of the two countries, thereby strengthening educational and linguistic connections; developing sports and cultural cooperation, especially football and performing arts - Brazil's strengths; expanding the network of partners in potential areas of cooperation.

Mr. Son said that in October 2025, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association are expected to organize a delegation to visit Brazil, including a number of businesses and representatives of the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship Parliamentarians Group. The trip will combine people-to-people diplomacy, parliamentary cooperation and economic and trade promotion activities.

Mr. Honaiser outlined four priorities in the coming time: supporting the successful organization of the visit to Brazil by the Vietnam - Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association in October 2025; promoting twinning between some localities of the two countries; enhancing cooperation between universities and research institutes, including the Brazilian Agricultural Research Agency (Embrapa); developing football through coach training, technology transfer, and competition exchanges.

He also said that the two countries still have a lot of potential for cooperation in food security and renewable energy, especially the production of wind and solar energy equipment - fields that are suitable for Vietnam's development orientation and are also Brazil's strengths.
