High performance
In 2023, Nguyen Tuan Anh finished third, behind Nguyen Anh Minh and his senior Nguyen Nhat Long, who were both in brilliant form at the time. In 2024, he moved up a notch, finishing second behind Nguyen Duc Son.
And this year, at the age of 16, with his brilliant form, Tuan Anh has only one goal: winning the championship at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon.
Tuan Anh's luggage before arriving in Gia Lai was a series of impressive victories. At the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final 2025, a prestigious tournament gathering the continent's top young golfers, he was the only golfer to keep his score under par for all three rounds (65-70-70), winning convincingly with a total score of -8.
At the 2025 National Youth Golf Championship (VJO), Tuan Anh continued to dominate, winning with a total score of -12, 10 strokes ahead of the runner-up, closing the final round with a beautiful birdie putt at hole 18.
Domestically, with the victory in stage 3 of the VGA Junior Tour 2025, Tuan Anh increased his total number of titles in the youth tournament system to 4, the most in the Vietnamese junior golf community. On the international arena, Tuan Anh won the runner-up position at the APGC Junior Championship 2025, only behind New Zealand talent Cooper More.
“Golf is the motivation for me to develop myself to the best of my ability,” Tuan Anh shared. For him, trophies are just part of the journey. What is more important is the daily growth, both in terms of expertise and competitive spirit.

Careful preparation
Tuan Anh has been involved with golf since he was 7 years old, when his father took him to the practice field every afternoon after school. At first it was just an extracurricular activity, but the turning point came when he was 9 years old and won third place at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Golf Tournament. “That result made me love golf more and determined to pursue a professional career,” Tuan Anh recalls.
The person who had the biggest influence on Tuan Anh’s career was his father, who set strict technical requirements from the beginning and only allowed his son to compete when he was strong enough. “With the support of my family, I have more motivation to practice and compete with all my might,” Tuan Anh said.

After winning the 2024 National Runner-up, Tuan Anh shared: “That was a beautiful memory. The first time I achieved success at the highest level, I appreciate the preparation process and the guidance from the teachers even more. In 2025, my biggest goal is to step up to the championship title."
Tuan Anh's seriousness is evident in each day of practice: mornings and afternoons dedicated to golf, alternating with gym sessions, and evenings for online cultural studies. "Golf requires many factors, but diligence is the key to success," Tuan Anh affirmed.
Now, as he is about to step onto the fairway of FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon, Tuan Anh brings with him not only powerful drives and precise putts, but also the trust of his family and fans. If he continues to play at his best, the National Championship trophy may find a new owner at the age of 16 and that could very well be Nguyen Tuan Anh.
