Nam Giang strives to disburse 90% of capital for 3 national target programs

Nam Giang District People's Committee said that the total capital to implement 3 national target programs in the area up to now is 409.5 billion VND, an increase of more than 46.5 billion VND compared to the first 9 months of the year.

In particular, the increase is due to the province allocating additional capital for construction maintenance of 38.9 billion VND (project 4) and capital to support medicinal plant growing areas of 5 billion VND, under the National Target Program for Socio -economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas. An additional 648 million VND is allocated to support housing for poor households, under Project 5 of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction; the district budget allocates counterpart capital of nearly 2 billion VND.

To date, the district has allocated more than 404.7/409.5 billion VND (over 98.8%) to agencies, units and localities. As of November 22, 2024, the district has disbursed more than 215.9 billion VND (over 52.7%) of capital for the 3 programs. Of which, investment capital is nearly 113.9 billion VND (nearly 57.7%), and public capital is more than 102.1 billion VND (over 48.1%).

Nam Giang district strives to disburse capital for 3 national target programs by December 31, 2024, more than 368.5 billion VND (reaching 90%). Of which, new rural construction is 30.5 billion VND, sustainable poverty reduction is 121.9 billion VND and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas is 216.1 billion VND.

To achieve the disbursement plan, the People's Committee of Nam Giang district will implement many solutions such as organizing work and direct dialogue with weak contractors to remove difficulties and obstacles. Continue to request contractors to commit to planning construction progress and capital disbursement; fulfill commitments to implement construction works to ensure progress, volume and quality.

Organize monthly and ad hoc investment meetings, and provide weekly quick reports on the implementation and disbursement of capital. Focus on resolving projects with compensation and site clearance issues once new guidance documents are available.

The district said it will also urgently work with provincial departments and branches to remove some difficulties and obstacles in the appraisal and approval of investment projects, planning, and contractor selection approval... to implement the remaining projects.
