The preliminary summary ceremony of the "Google Digital School" pilot program and the workshop "Becoming an architect of learning experiences" were recently held at Xuy Xa Secondary School, My Duc District, Hanoi. The event marked an important step forward in applying technology to local education, especially in suburban and rural areas.

The "Google Digital School" pilot program was deployed at Xuy Xa Secondary School from the beginning of 2024, with the participation of 31 teachers and 120 grade 6 students. The program focuses on applying Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks to the subjects of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Geography, History and Music.

The pilot results show that the application of Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks has brought many positive benefits. Teachers have improved their digital skills, are confident in applying technology in teaching, helping students to be more proactive, creative and interested in learning. 100% of teachers participating in the pilot agreed that Google for Education brings many benefits to teaching and learning, and 94% of teachers found that Google tools help students be more creative and self-study better.

Mr. Do Tran Binh Minh, General Director of AI Education, an authorized partner of Google for Education in Vietnam, expressed his belief that technology can help change the way of teaching and learning, bringing equal learning opportunities to all students.

"We are committed to continuing to accompany the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to deploy pilot programs and replicate the Google digital school model in the city," said Mr. Do Tran Binh Minh.

At the workshop, Mr. Bung Tran, global trainer of Google for Education, shared his experiences in using technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning. This learning experience helps create a positive, interesting and effective learning environment, encouraging students to participate, explore and develop their full potential.

Google for Education said it plans to expand the "Google Digital Schools" pilot program to many other schools in Hanoi in the near future.
