Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2025, the Bao Thang Regional Traffic Police Team under Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department, Lao Cai Provincial Police received a report from local residents about the discovery of two children showing signs of being lost in Tien Loi village, Xuan Giao commune, Bao Thang district.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Bao Thang Regional Traffic Police Team quickly coordinated with Xuan Giao Commune Police to deploy forces on patrol and control duty in the area to verify the incident and search for information related to the two children. Through verification, the two children were identified as Chao Ong Ngai, born in 2013, and Chao Thanh Tam, born in 2016; both residing in Peng village, Ta Phoi commune, Lao Cai city. The authorities quickly contacted Mr. Chao Ong Senh - the biological father of the two children, asking the family to come and receive them and bring them home safely.

The timely, responsible and humane coordination between the forces helped the two children to be quickly reunited with their families. The Provincial Traffic Police Department thanked the local people for their vigilance and timely information support. The authorities also advised people to immediately report to the nearest police station when they discover children lost or showing signs of abnormality for timely support.
