In order to meet the increasing travel demand during the peak tourist season, especially during holidays, Co To district and relevant agencies have proactively implemented many solutions to enhance transport capacity and traffic coordination, ensuring safety and convenience for tourists. Local authorities have coordinated with shipping companies to implement safety measures, control train tickets and service prices, and avoid overloading or profiteering. On the island, the electric car system and passenger transport vehicles have been increased in number, and additional pick-up and drop-off points have been arranged at key tourist areas... These efforts not only help improve the experience of tourists, but also demonstrate the locality's determination to build Co To into a safe, friendly and professional destination.
Co To is also piloting the organization of water recreational activities such as kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, coral diving, etc. The district also organizes 8 connecting routes to Co To Con Island, Ca Chep Island, Su Tu Island, Bay Sao Island, Dong Nam Island, Thanh Lan Island, and Tran Island.
In addition to tourism development, Co To district also aims at the long-term goal of building a green, clean and sustainable tourism model, associated with the conservation of marine ecosystems and the preservation of indigenous cultural values. These activities are considered an important step in the strategy of developing sustainable island tourism, aiming to make Co To a "green - sustainable - safe" destination of Quang Ninh province and the Northern region.
