(DN) - On July 17, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Dong Nai province, Tran Thanh Hoa, led a working delegation to visit and discuss with Bishop Do Van Ngan, Bishop of Xuan Loc Diocese and Bishop Nguyen Tuan Anh, Auxiliary Bishop of Xuan Loc Diocese, along with priests, male and female religious at Xuan Loc Bishop's House (Long Khanh ward).

During the visit, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Tran Thanh Hoa highly appreciated the contributions of Bishop Do Van Ngan, Bishop Nguyen Tuan Anh, priests, male and female religious, and Catholic followers of Dong Nai in the process of effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the bishops, priests, male and female religious of Dong Nai Catholics would continue to participate and propagate, mobilize Catholic followers to actively contribute to building their homeland.

On behalf of Xuan Loc Diocese, Bishop Do Van Ngan expressed his gratitude for the attention of provincial leaders as well as the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions in recent times.

According to Bishop Do Van Ngan, bishops, priests, male and female religious, and Catholic followers always aim for goodness and goodness and build truth, goodness, and beauty in life. As of July 1, 2025, Dong Nai province has a population of over 4.42 million people. Nearly 57% of the province's population are religious people with nearly 2.5 million followers, of which Catholics account for over 1.31 million.
