Social housing area in Duc Trong district |
The Steering Committee, chaired by Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai, is responsible for proposing solutions to remove obstacles related to planning, investment procedures, and investor selection. At the same time, the Steering Committee will closely monitor the process of construction, sale, lease, and use of social housing, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and aiming for practical effectiveness.
According to the document of the Provincial People's Committee, there are currently 13 land fund locations planned for social housing development, mainly in Da Lat and Bao Loc. However, only 1 project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment. To speed up the progress, the Provincial People's Committee requires local authorities to focus on establishing and adjusting planning levels, assessing the current land status, resolving problems in land acquisition, compensation and site clearance to attract investors to participate in project implementation.
The Departments of Construction, Finance, Agriculture and Environment are also assigned to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of Da Lat and Bao Loc cities to remove difficulties and speed up the implementation of projects. In particular, the Department of Construction is responsible for urging and reporting on the implementation progress, and promptly reporting any problems so that the Provincial People's Committee can provide appropriate guidance.
In addition to promoting project implementation, the Steering Committee will also closely monitor to detect and strictly handle violations and profiteering of social housing policies. The Provincial People's Committee emphasized that transparency in investment and management of social housing will contribute to ensuring the rights of those in need, while promoting sustainable urban development.
