This afternoon, August 9, the Department of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Quang Tri 11/8 Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting Center (2004 - 2024); received the Emulation Flag of the Government and honored and awarded the Certificate of Outstanding Rural Industrial Products (CNNT) of Quang Tri province for the 7th time, 2024. To carry out the task of encouraging the development of industrial and handicraft production and rural occupations in the province, on August 11, 2004, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2464/QD-UB on the establishment of the Quang Tri Provincial Industrial Promotion Center.

According to the practical situation of each period, the Quang Tri Provincial Industrial Promotion Center was renamed, supplemented, and its tasks were adjusted, and it is currently the Quang Tri Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting Center (abbreviated as the Center).

Over 20 years of construction and development, the Center has always received close and timely attention and direction from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade and the close support and coordination of relevant agencies. Thanks to that, the province's industrial promotion work over the past 20 years has been carried out smoothly and achieved many encouraging results.

In the period 2004 - 2023, with a total budget of over 54.8 billion VND from the Provincial Industrial Promotion Program and the National Industrial Promotion Program arranged in the province, the Center has organized activities to support vocational training, vocational training and skill improvement; support to improve management capacity for industrial parks; support to build technical demonstration models, transfer technology and apply advanced machinery, scientific and technical advances in industrial and handicraft production; support to develop typical industrial parks; support to provide information on industrial development policies, industrial promotion and support for joint ventures, economic cooperation and development of industrial clusters.

In particular, 7 rounds of voting for typical IT products at the provincial level were held; vocational training and transfer of skills were implemented for about 3,800 workers; many seminars and specialized training courses were organized to improve the capacity of about 650 people who are managers and operators of IT facilities and industrial promotion managers in the province.

In particular, it has supported and built 38 demonstration models of new product and technology production techniques; supported 330 IT establishments to apply machinery and scientific and technical advances in production, handle environmental pollution, and relocate establishments to industrial clusters.

Through the program to support industrial promotion projects, businesses and establishments have been exposed to new management methods and technologies to create increasingly high-quality products, meet market demands, reduce environmental pollution, create jobs, and increase income for workers.

At the same time, attracting a large amount of counterpart capital from enterprises and establishments to invest in equipment for production. On the other hand, district-level industrial promotion activities have also been strongly implemented, contributing to promoting the development of rural industries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam suggested that the Department of Industry and Trade should further promote its leading role in researching practical support mechanisms and policies, encouraging the development of new products, and creating the most favorable conditions to support businesses in expanding and developing production activities.

Quang Tri Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting, district-level industrial promotion units are interested in and prioritize support proposals for enterprises with recognized typical products, and at the same time are interested in supporting market promotion and advertising for these products.

Along with that, it is necessary to support businesses and production facilities to build linked value chains, creating opportunities for typical IT products of Quang Tri province to reach potential markets, aiming to export to foreign markets.

Enterprises and production facilities in the province must also make efforts, be creative, actively transform digitally, and apply science and technology to production activities to improve product quality and meet the increasing demands of consumers.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam announced the launch of an emulation movement to develop IT products in the province.

Within the framework of the ceremony, the Department of Industry and Trade awarded the Certificate of Typical Industrial Technology Products of Quang Tri Province in 2024 to 34 products/product sets of 32 industrial technology establishments that met the criteria and were recognized at the provincial level.

These are products that have promoted the advantages of localities in terms of raw materials, labor, skills, experience combined with creative thinking and the application of advanced technology and equipment in production, with high competitiveness, contributing to creating products with the Quang Tri brand with quality and reputation in the market.

Authorized by the Prime Minister, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam presented the Government's Emulation Flag to the Quang Tri Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 groups and 12 individuals; the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade awarded certificates of merit to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in performing their tasks.
