Based on the directives of all levels and the results of the implementation of Project 6 on “Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development”, it is shown that Van Quan district has supported the activities of 12 clubs and art troupes in villages and towns in communes and towns, with a total budget of 432 million VND. The district has also coordinated with the Lang Son Provincial Center for Culture and Arts to establish a Tay and Nung ethnic folk cultural activity club with 56 members.
Also from the capital of Project 6 under the National Target Program 1719, the district supported Tran Ninh commune with a total budget of 196 million VND to invest in upgrading Phu Hue village cultural house (70 million VND) and Khau Ngoa village cultural house (81 million VND); purchased equipment and handed over to the village cultural houses to serve community activities (45 million VND).
However, through inspection, it was found that the implementation of Project 6 encountered some difficulties due to limited capital, many items requiring investment, while the rate of poor and near-poor households in the area was still high, so the work of mobilizing socialization to build village cultural houses had not achieved the set goals.
The inspection team shared the difficulties of the grassroots level, and at the same time requested the district and commune to continue to propagate and mobilize people to promote national cultural values; implement Project 6 focusing on building infrastructure; organize cultural activities that bring positive effects, contributing to preserving and promoting the good values of ethnic minorities in the whole district associated with tourism development.
